About This Project

Paul Harrison is a superb pianist, composer and a master creator with electronic sounds. It has been a joy and privilege to be part of his Sugarwork band, leading up to the recent album release. Featuring Paul, guitarist Graeme Stephen and drummer Stu Brown, it is a great band to hear live.

To buy the album:

beautifully crafted, full of surprises and excellent lifted me to a world of musical enlightenment...I’ve been left breathless and wanting of the best albums to come out of Scotland in a long time.
Hearing Sugarwork (the album) was a revelation. An album of compelling, startling music, unlike anything else on the current jazz scene in Scotland.
Music that’s by turns robust and forthright, gently probing, strongly melodic and intriguingly atmospheric.
Sugarwork is something quite special.
The real achievement is how Paul Harrison and his band have managed to combine two opposing sounds and make them work so well together. An intriguing piece, well worth a listen.
